Last updated: May 26, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Beacon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Use of Service
Beacon provides error tracking, session replay, performance monitoring, and related developer observability tools. The Service is provided for lawful software development and operations purposes only. You may not use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or infringes on the rights of others.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately via our contact page if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to disable accounts that violate these terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use Beacon to collect or process data you do not have the right to collect, to deliberately degrade the Service for other users, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or to transmit malware or malicious content. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the platform or violate this policy.
5. Intellectual Property
Beacon and its underlying technology are owned by Beacon HQ and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You retain full ownership of the error event data and application code you integrate with Beacon. We claim no ownership over data you send to the Service. Nothing in these terms transfers intellectual property rights to either party beyond what is explicitly stated.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon HQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the three months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
7. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from within your workspace settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion timelines following termination are described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
